Although Storm No. 3 had passed, it caused widespread destruction. Initial reports indicate that over 17,000 trees were uprooted.

He said all Vice Chairpersons of the municipal People's Committee had been deployed to oversee recovery operations and ensure quick progress in restoring normal activities.

He instructed departments and local authorities to prioritize the swift restoration of transportation. "By the end of today, Sunday, traffic must be restored so that people can return to work and normal routines on Monday," he said.

Regarding fallen trees, Thanh urged special attention be given to preserving and replanting century-old trees where possible. He also called for urgent action to restore power to facilitate both business operations and residents' needs, with a focus on medium-voltage systems vital for drainage.

Additionally, the Chairman directed localities to promptly inspect their areas and take swift action to address storm-related damages.

Typhoon Yagi made its impact felt in Ha Noi from the afternoon of September 7, with heavy rains and strong winds causing significant disruptions.

At 4 PM on September 7, Typhoon Yagi began to significantly affect Ha Noi, with intense rainfall and powerful gusts of wind making it nearly impossible for motorcyclists to move. Many riders had to stay stationary in the middle of the street to prevent their bikes from toppling over.

The severe weather caused widespread difficulties, with ongoing efforts to clear debris and manage the resulting traffic disruptions. The storm's intensity left many parts of Ha Noi grappling with the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.

The storm also brought down numerous trees along many streets in Ha Noi./.
