Capital honors outstanding teachers and exemplary educators
VGP - Ha Noi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son honored hundreds of outstanding teachers representing schools throughout the city on November 11 in Ha Noi.

The Ha Noi's Department of Education and Training is awarded the Government's Emulation Flag for outstanding achievements in 2025, and dozens of schools and individuals were awarded state honors and certificates of merit.
The ceremony was held ahead of the 43rd Viet Nam Teachers' Day on November 20.
Party General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also sent flowers to congratulate the city's education community, underscoring the national importance of teachers and their role in shaping future generations.
Minister Nguyen Kim Son praised Ha Noi's achievements, describing the city's education system as the country's "driving force for innovation." The minister called on the capital to continue leading national reforms, share best practices, and foster a culture of digital learning.
Ha Noi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc commended the contributions of teachers and stressed the importance of reducing disparities between urban and suburban schools. He took the occasion to call upon the city to continue prioritizing education in its development strategy, with focused investment in school infrastructure, teacher training, and equitable access to quality education. Strengthening foreign language instruction, particularly English, and incorporating ethics, life skills, and environmental awareness into curricula were also highlighted as key priorities. "Investing in education is investing in the future of Ha Noi," he said.
The city plans to issue an action program implementing the new national education resolution, ensuring teachers receive better incentives and professional support to innovate and excel.

The Ha Noi's education system comprises 2.3 million students and nearly 140,000 teachers. Over 80 percent of public schools in the capital meet national standards, and many are integrating digital tools into both management and teaching.
Director of the Ha Noi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong reported that the city continues to lead the country in both general and specialized education.
In 2025, students from Ha Noi schools won 200 national awards and 18 international medals, including golds at the Chemistry and Biology Olympiads. Notably, Tran Bui Bao Khanh, a student of Ha Noi–Amsterdam High School, became the 2025 champion of the national television quiz, Road to Mount Olympia.
The city has also made significant strides in digital transformation. All schools now use electronic records and learning management systems, and nearly every student has a personal digital ID.
Ha Noi is pioneering bilingual education and international cooperation programs, while also applying artificial intelligence in administration and teaching supervision.
