"Get on Ha Noi 2024" to take place on March 9

VGP - The cultural program titled "Du lich Ha Noi chao 2024 - Get on Ha Noi 2024" will be held on March 9 and 10 at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space on Lac Long Quan Street in Tay Ho District, according to the city's Department of Tourism.

The event aimed to promote the image of safe, friendly, and attractive destinations in Ha Noi to attract more tourists.

The cultural event will cover a series of more than 50 events, including the Ha Noi Tourism Festival 2024, the Ha Noi Tourism Gift Festival 2024, the Ha Noi Autumn Festival, the Food and Craft Village Tourism Festival, and the Ha Noi Ao Dai Festival 2024.

"Get on Ha Noi 2024" will feature a semi-realistic art program based on Ha Noi's history and a light show using laser mapping technology.

Participants in the event will have the opportunity to experience Ha Noi specialties at culinary venues, admire and purchase handicrafts from Hanoi's traditional artisanal villages, and participate in traditional folk games.

In addition, a photo exhibition featuring award-winning photos from the "Welcome Hanoi City" photo contest would give viewers a glimpse of the lovely, beautiful, and charming capital of Vietnam.

"Get on Ha Noi 2024" is also part of a series of cultural activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).

On the same occasion, the Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee and the Ha Noi Department of Tourism will hand over a decision to recognize Nhat Tan Tourist Area, Tay Ho District, as an urban-level tourist destination.

Ha Noi's tourism industry is targeting around 27 million visitors in 2024, up 9.2 percent on-year. This includes 5.5 million international arrivals, up 16.4 percent from the 2023 benchmark, and 21.5 million domestic visitors, up 7.5 percent. Total revenue from tourists is expected to reach VND104 trillion (US$4.2 million), up 11.1 percent from the 2023 level, while the average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments will rise to 62 percent./.
