Trade promotion fair to be held in Ha Noi

The event is a chance to encourage production activities of cooperatives, cooperative groups and unions, honoring the significant contributions of cooperatives to the national economy.

Around 40 big businesses which are suppliers of input and output products, distributors like TH True milk and Co.op Mart, and about 100 delegates who are clients, partners, and cooperatives from many countries and territories around the world such as the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan will also join the event to share experiences, investment opportunities and seek markets for their products and services.

The event covers fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery and small scale industry, and other economic sectors.

Chairman of the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance Nguyen Ngoc Bao said that 70% of the 350 pavilions will showcase agroforestry and seafood products, while the remaining pavilions will display handicrafts, and industry and service products. 

The agroforestry and seafood products are produced to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, he said.

The fair will organize activities to connect supply and demand and facilitate the negotiations and signing of deals between domestic and foreign cooperatives and businesses. 

It will also include seminars to promote trade and technology and lure capital for the development of Vietnamese cooperatives.

According to the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance, the country has more than 20,200 cooperatives, including 12,200 agricultural cooperatives.
