Thang Long Entrepreneur Gala 2020 honors outstanding SMEs
VGP – The Ha Noi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme) hosted the Thang Long Entrepreneur Gala 2020 to honor 200 enterprises representing over 290,000 members of Ha Noi’s business community for their outstanding socio-economic contributions to the capital on October 24 in Ha Noi.

In 2020, the economy has encountered numerous difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the local SMEs overcame difficulties and contributed over 30% of budget and more than 150,000 jobs.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh said that the economy has cope with difficulties this year due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the city government has always paid attention to improving the business environment and has drastically taken synchronous solutions to promptly tackling difficulties for enterprises.
The city still achieved a growth rate of 3.27% in the first nine months of 2020, 1.5 times more than the national average. In particular, the city has delayed collecting more than VND17.5 trillion (US$753.6 million) in corporate income taxes.
Mr. Ngoc Anh was convinced that the business community of the capital will continue to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, develop sustainably, and deserve to be the driving force of the capital's development.
On this occasion, Hanoisme has been awarded the second-class labor order by the State President on the occasion of its 25thfounding anniversary.
The organizer mobilized nearly VND11.4 billion (US$490,931) from donors to support people in the central region affected by storms and floods./.
