Smart transport system to operate this November
VGP – The local authorities will officially operate the smart transport system this November, according to Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

The body is directing the Management Board of investment projects on construction of civil and industrial works to build the smart transport system with basic performance including bus operation management, BRT, taxi, technological cars, long-distance coaches, car rental services, metro, fire prevention, emergency rescue, and order supervision.
Camera systems of district and communal People’s Committees will be connected with the smart transport system.
The People’s Committee was asked to direct districts and communes to install camera systems especially integrated environmental monitoring sensor cameras.
In addition, cameras of local people especially at commercial centers, shops, buildings, hospitals, stations, railway stations, and public places may be connected with the system if technical standards are qualified.
Transport development in large cities with the use of information technology is a growing trend, thus Ha Noi is working to build and perfect solutions to become a leading locality with a modern smart transportation system.
The system is part of a project titled ‘Strengthening the management of road vehicles to reduce environmental pollution in Ha Noi in the period 2017-2020, with a vision to 2030’./.
