Online contest on Hà Nội for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese launched
VGP - The Hà Nội Union of Friendship Associations yesterday kick-started an online contest named "Hà Nội - Your rendezvous" for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese in 2009-2010.

This is an annual contest, launched in 2000, to welcome the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội.
By answering seven questions about Hà Nội's historical milestones and cultural heritages, the participants will enrich their knowledge and understanding of Việt Nam’s capital city.
Contestants are also encouraged to propose their ideas to the preservation and promotion of the long-lasting historical and cultural values of Hà Nội.
The questionnaire is written in six languages, Vietnamese, English, Russian, Chinese, French and Esperanto.
Representatives from embassies of Cuba, Australia, Cambodia, Laos, Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia, the Philippines, UK and a large number of foreign students learning in Việt Nam attended the launching ceremony held on Monday.
