Nearly 1,500 athletes ready to run for peace
VGP - The 45th Hà Nội Mới (New Hà N ội) Newspaper Run will be held on September 30.

The event, which is sponsored by Hisamitsu Viet Nam Pharmaceutical Company, is one of several activities held to mark the 64th anniversary of Ha Noi’s liberation and the 19th anniversary of Ha Noi being recognised as “The City for Peace” by UNESCO.
This year’s event is expected to draw the participation of many professional runners including Ngo Thi Oanh, the Asian Games 2018 bronze medalist.
In the amateur category event, students, workers, soldiers and expats, will compete in different distances, ranging from 1,750m to 5,250m.
In the professional events, women will run three laps — equivalent to 5,250m — around Hoan Kiem Lake. Men will complete five laps, around 8,750m.
The annual event will attract around 1,500 athletes from 20 cities and provinces, including 280 foreign runners from 26 embassies.
