Mayor inspects national high school exit exams

VGP - Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh inspected the enforcement of the Covid-19 prevention and control measures to ensure the success of the national high school exit exam 2021 on July 7 in Ha Noi.

Chairman Chu visited Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School where 290 students were taking the exams.

He said that the entire political system has this year made a great effort ever to create the best conditions for high schoolers‘ exit exam.

The exam has been following strict Covid-19 prevention protocols as the fourth wave of infections has been serious in many localities.

The city has a large number of candidates, accounting for about 10% of the country’s, thus, preparation for the exams has been carried out carefully. 

Candidates had their body temperature checked and their hands disinfected before entering the exam venues. They must wear masks during the exams. 

Candidates were informed about the pandemic safety measures, the exam regulations, and the items that are not allowed to be brought into the exam rooms. 

The Ha Noi Department of Education and Training reported that the city prepared 188 testing avenues with 4,325 testing rooms for a total 101,326 candidates. 

Some 167 students had their exam suspended due to COVID-19 infections, including five tested positive, 26 others having contacts with COVID-19 patients (so-called F1), 107 others having contacts with F1 (known as F2), and 29 others in lockdown areas. These candidates will take part in the second phase of the national high school exams later as instructed by the Ministry of Health./
