Job generation meets 61.7% of preset goal
VGP – As of June 20, the city generated 95,033 jobs, meeting 61.7% of plan.

The poor and other policy beneficiaries got VND 990 billion from the local budget. The city generated jobs for 25,000 laborers; sent 1,869 guest workers abroad; and provided vocational training for 1,790 people.
In the first half, vocational training establishments cooperated with 512 enterprises.
In the rest of the year, the city will strive for the preset goal of generating jobs for 154,000 laborers and cut unemployment rate to under 4%.
The city will put into practice the Law on Labor, the Law on Employment, the Law on Labor Hygiene Safety, and the Law on Unemployment Insurance.
In addition, the poor and social policy beneficiaries will be able to access to preferential loans via the branch of the Social Policy Bank.
Guest workers will be encouraged to come back home after their labor contracts expire. The move aims to reduce the rate of illegal residence.
Finally, the city will effectively utilize information database on labor supply and demand and apply appropriate policies on job introduction and generation for laborers./.
