VGP - Jestar Pacific will resume the direct flights linking Ha Noi/Da Nang and Osaka, Japan after the Kansai international airport completes reparation of damage caused by super typhoon Jebi.

The airline will operate the flights from September 21. The low-cost airline will operate four return flights each on the Ha Noi-Osaka and Da Nang-Osaka routes.

Flights to Osaka will depart from Ha Noi’s Noi Bai airport every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and those to Hanoi from Osaka will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

On the Da Nang-Osaka route, there will be a flight from Da Nang every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights on the opposite direction will be on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Jetstar Pacific had to suspend a total of 38 flights between Viet Nam and Osaka from September 4-20.
Typhoon Jebi, the strongest to hit Japan in 25 years, made landfall in western Japan on September 4. It flooded one runway and a terminal building at Kansai airport. What’s more, the only bridge connecting the facility, which is located on a manmade island, with Japan’s main island was damaged after a tanker crashed into it amid strong wind and high waves, according to Japan’s Kyodo News.

Hundreds of flights to and from Kansai International Airport have been cancelled so far. Japan’s Nippon Airways announced that it will cancel 247 domestic flights and eight international flights, while Japan Airlines will also cancel 176 domestic flights.
