HN to mark 20th anniversary of City for Peace
VGP - A ceremony will be held on July 13 at the Ly Thai To Flower Park besides Hoan Kiem lake in the heart of Ha Noi to mark the 20th anniversary of its title as ‘City For Peace’ (July 16, 1999- July 16, 2019).

A variety of meaningful activities will take place on the occasion. Notably, a peace culture festival featuring two performances, themed ‘I love Ha Noi’ and ‘Lighting peace’, is expected to delight audiences.
Visitors to the capital will be introduced to Viet Nam’s UNESCO recognized intangible cultural heritages.
In addition, international organizations and embassies will introduce their cultural identities and tourism products at an event entitled ‘Friendship Village’ in Le Thach street.
Photo exhibitions honoring “civilized and elegant Hanoians” as well as the capital city’s efforts towards peace will open in July and September, respectively.
Meanwhile a peaceful and friendship melody festival, themed ‘Echoes of the peaceful city’ will be held in October.
Since early this year, the city authorities have carried out numerous activities to mark the occasion, including major cultural events involving many countries worldwide.
Currently, Ha Noi maintains friendly cooperation with more than 100 capitals and cities worldwide. The city has proved itself a global responsible member with rising prestige at many important international forums./.
