Deputy Director of the Department of health Hoang Duc Hanh reported that the city has entered the tenth day with zero new community infections. So far, only Long Bien, Dong Anh and Soc Son districts had local infections and have yet gone 14 days with zero domestically-transmitted cases.

Since April 29, the city confirmed 130 local infections excluding those from two national hospitals. All these patients have been treated at Bac Thang Long Hospital, Duc Giang General Hospital, and Thanh Nhan Hospital.

So far, all disease clusters have been put under control. However, the city still faces  risks of community infections as other localities including HCMC, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Da Nang are struggling with complicated disease developments.

In the coming time, the Deputy Director recommended the city raise awareness of people on disease prevention and disseminate “5K plus vaccine” measure.

Returnees from disease-hit localities including HCMC, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Da Nang must be strictly monitored.

Preventive measures on disease transmission at hospitals must be strengthened.

So far, the city completely finalized three phases of inoculation, administering 132,000 doses of vaccine. On June 23, the city was allocated an additional 20,000 doses and would provide jabs for priority groups as soon as possible./.
