HN proposes six cooperative fields with Fukuoka prefecture

Chairman Chung expressed his aspiration to beef up the Ha Noi-Fukuoka relations in particular and Viet Nam-Japan ties in general.

He said Ha Noi will prioritize rapid and sustainable development, especially the building of fresh water supply system, in the next five years.

Ha Noi plans to burn all waste, clean 1,300 lakes and plant 1 million trees in the locality during the 2016-2020 period, the official added.

At the same time, the city is working on a plan on infrastructure development and calling for investments in five bridges spanning over the Red River from foreign investors, including those from Japan, Mr. Chung said.

He proposed six cooperative areas for the two localities namely (1) attracting Japanese SMEs with high tech; (2) settlement of air, lake, and sewage pollution; (3) tourism development; (4) sending of Vietnamese trainees to Japan; (5) aquatic cultivation; (6) technological transferring.

For his part, Mr. Masayuki Nakao expressed his pleasure at the enhanced affiliation between Ha Noi and Fukuoka in health care, culture and education since the signing of the agreement on cooperation in economy, trade, tourism and culture in February 2008.

Fukuoka will consider Ha Noi’s suggestions, pledging to support the two sides’ enterprises to seek partners./.
