HN passes socio-economic development resolution for 2017

VGP – With 84.2% of votes, the Ha Noi People’s Council passed a resolution on socio-economic development norms for 2017 on December 5 in Ha Noi.

he Ha Noi People’s Council passed a resolution on socio-economic development norms for 2017 on December 5 in Ha Noi.

The resolution was approved at the third session of the 15th Ha Noi People’s Council for the 2016-2020 period.  

In 2017, the capital targets to improve the investment and business environment; encourage business start-up; develop enterprises; spur growth; ensure social welfare and beneficiaries; protect the environment; develop cultural cause; better planning management; build urban and rural areas; enhance diplomatic efficiency and international integration.

Specifically, the city will strive to obtain Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth of 8.5-9%; GRDP per capita of VND 86-88 million; capital development pace of 11-12%; export turnover growth rate of 4-5%; medical insurance coverage rate of 82.8%; lower year-on-year poverty reduction rate by 0.6%;  urban unemployment rate (under 4%).

The city will focus on six groups of tasks and measures, especially improving the business and investment environment; raising Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); extricating business obstacles for enterprises; spurring business start-up and innovation; properly implementing the bank-business connectivity program; conducting preferential policies on tax, credit, land allocation; enabling high-tech applications and the development of auxiliary industries./.
