HN helps the poor build houses

VGP – The municipal People’s Committee of Hà Nội has decided to provide VND 94.5 billion for 3,780 poor households in the city to repair their current houses or build new one.
Each poor household will receive VND 20 million from the local authorities, VND 5 million from the Fund for the Poor and VND 2 million from the city’s fund to repair their houses which were damaged by disasters or build new houses.
Poor households can also borrow loans from the Bank for Social Policies with a maximum amount of VND 8 million for housing construction.
The Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee has encouraged organizations and individuals to provide financial assistance to Hà Nội’s housing project.
Over the past two years, Hà Nội has spent more than VND 257.7 billion in repairing and building 7,467 houses for the poor./.
