HN, Azerbaijan boost cooperation in various scopes

VGP – Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung hosted a reception on Ha Noi in December 16 for Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Viet Nam, Anar Imanov to discuss potentials for cooperation between the two capitals in the coming time.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Viet Nam Anar Imanov said that Azerbaijan and Viet Nam had long-lasting relations. He stressed that this is right time for the two countries to foster relations between Baku and Ha Noi especially in tourism and education. 

In reply, Chairman Chung briefed the guest leader about socio-economic indicators in Ha Noi especially a 7.62% GDP growth rate estimated for 2019 which is the highest level over the past nine years. 

According to Mr. Chung, Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCMC were selected as the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). 

The city is determined to develop three breakthroughs on administration reform, transport infrastructure building, and manpower training. 

Regarding the relations between BaKu and Ha Noi, Chairman Chung agreed with the Ambassador’s proposal on twin city formulation. 

Mr. Chung affirmed that Ha Noi stands ready to work with the Ambassador to organize cultural events and Azerbaijani Days in Ha Noi.

The two sides took the occasion to discuss potentials in tourism, trade, education, and cooperative opportunities between the two capitals./.
