Health declaration to be mandatory for more subjects amidst COVID-19 fears

VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has planned to apply mandatory health declaration for more subjects in a bid to combat COVID-19 transmission.

Specifically, the committee planned to task departments, district-level committees to manage health registration regulations at website https://tokhaiyte.vn of the Health Ministry or Bluezoneapp.

The mandatory regulation on health declaration is put in place for people entering, exiting, or transiting Viet Nam, people in outbreak areas, at quarantine camps, returnees from infected areas, workers at disease-hit factories and industrial parks, visitors to medical facilities, passengers of airlines, trains, ships, and coaches.

As of May 24, Ha Noi led the country in the number of people installing the Bluezone contact-tracing app with 3.1 million downloads, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 2.8 million, according to the latest report conducted by the Authority of Information Technology Application under the Ministry of Information and Communications. 

The number of active Bluezone accounts in Ha Noi is the highest in the country with 1.23 million, accounting for 40% of the city’s total.

Ha Noi is continuing to mobilize people to apply technological solutions including electronic medical declaration and installing the app to prevent and control the pandemic./.
