Ha Noi’s CPI increases by 0.2% in June
VGP – Ha Noi’s consumer price index (CPI) in June rose by 0.2% from the previous month, 1.41% compared to December 2020 and 1.98% over the same period last year, according to the city’s Statistical Office.

On average, in the first half of 2021, the capital’s CPI went up by 1.14% year-on-year, which was mainly attributed to price increases in a number of commodity groups.
Specifically, the transport group reported a 5.21% rise as a result of nine adjustments in petrol and oil prices.
Meanwhile, prices of educational services jumped 2.71% due to the implementation of the Government’s Decree no. 86/2015-ND-CP dated October 2, 2015 on mechanism for collection and management of tuition fees applicable to educational institutions in the national education system.
According to the roadmap, universities and colleges increased their tuition fees in the school year 2020-2021 within the prescribed framework.
Compared to the previous month, prices of beverage and cigarettes in June went up by 0.21%, while hikes were also recorded in prices of some other commodity groups, such as housing, electricity, water, and fuel (0.74%); household appliances (0.07%); medicine and medical services (0.01%); transport (1.03%); and other goods and services (0.03%).
Three groups posted month-on-month decreases in prices, including post and telecommunications (0.03%), food and catering services (0.16%), and culture, sports and tourism (0.18%).
In June, the gold price rose by 0.97% month-on-month, while the price of US dollar went down 0.17%.
