VGP – Ha Noi will display books on national and city history and culture, and deliver art performances at the 2018 Frankfurt Book Fair in October.

Director of the Ha Noi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre Nguyen Gia Phuong  said Frankfurt Book Fair will help participants grasp opportunities and new trends of the world publishing market, access advanced support technologies for publication, and exchange books and experience in the development of reading culture, copyright transaction, and the organization of international book events in Ha Noi.

Ha Noi’s pavilion will cover around 80 square metres, showing typical books in Vietnamese, English, French and German languages.

The Hà Nội pavillion will display multilingual books on Vietnamese history and culture, including philosophy, literature, education and children.

In addition, Ha Noi will also promote tourism through a series of documentary films on intangible cultural heritages and craft villages.

Apart from artistic programs and demonstrations of Hanoian foods, the capital will participate in the performance of national musical instruments at the exchange with ASEAN countries.

The activities aim to promote the special and unique cultural and tourism products of Ha Noi and Viet Nam to the Vietnamese community and international friends in Germany, contributing to the development of the city’s tourism industry.

Last year’s fair with over 7,300 pavilions drew more than 286,000 visitors from over 100 countries.
