Ha Noi ready for SEA Games 31 and ASEAN Para Games 11
VGP - Ha Noi will this year host many major sport events of the region, including the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) and the ASEAN Para Games 11, according to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism.

A representative of the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Information said Ha Noi is now ready for the two events in terms of both facilities and athletes.
Ha Noi is determined to successfully hold the 31st SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games 11 this year, despite the negative impacts of Covid-19 pandemic.
There are 40 sports scheduled to be held with 520 competitions at the 31st SEA Games, of which, Ha Noi will host 26 sport events.
Meanwhile, Para Games 11 will feature 11 competitions, including Athletics, Swimming, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Boccia, Tennis, Judo for Blind, Rolling Ball for Blind and Archery.
The My Dinh Sports Complex of Ha Noi will be the venue for the opening ceremony (November 21), the closing ceremony (December 2) and most of the competitions.
At the 31st SEA Games, athletes will compete in four new sports including Bowling, E-sports, Triathlon and Jujitsu.
Focus on domestic travelers
In the tourism strategy for 2021, Ha Noi will build products which focus on domestic travelers, eco-tourism, community, cultural and spiritual, resort, and healthcare, sport groups; promote links between 4-5-star hotels, restaurants, and trade centers to build tourism products targeting at Hanoians.
In addition, Ha Noi continues strengthening the implementation of a series of outstanding events including domestic travel stimulus and craft street festivals.
In the complicated development of Covid-19 in the world, the national tourism industry has identified the domestic market as the main source of revenue at least in the first half of 2021.
The region's biggest sporting event will be held in Ha Noi and 10 neighbouring provinces from November 21 to December 2 this year. Meanwhile, the ASEAN Para Games 11 will open in December.
The event will be a great opportunity to promote the attraction for the capital and drawing more tourists to Ha Noi. “The capital’s tour operators should grasp this opportunity.”
To make the event a success, a year before the opening of the 31st SEA Games and ASEAN For Games 11, the Ha Noi People's Committee collaborated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the "Kick-off the 31st SEA Games" program to disseminate the importance of this region's biggest sporting event among Vietnamese and international friends./.
