Ha Noi licenses 22 new FDI projects in February
VGP – According to the Ha Noi Department of Planning and Investment, the capital city licensed 22 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in February with a total registered capital of US$12.1 million, including 19 wholly foreign-invested projects and three joint venture ones.

Additional pledges of US$3.8 million were made to seven existing projects, while capital contribution and share purchase by foreign investors reached US$27.9 million.
As of February 23, Ha Noi has attracted US$58.9 million of FDI capital, including US$14 million from 28 new projects, US$4.1 million pledged to add in nine existing ones, and US$40.8 million of foreign investors’ capital contribution and share purchase.
In February 2020, Ha Noi granted licenses to 43 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$22.7 million.
Implementing the Government’s Resolution No. 01, in order to promote economic recovery, regain the growth momentum, and speed up the restructuring of economic sectors, this year Ha Noi has set the tasks of further improving the investment and business environment, increasing competitiveness through measures to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), and improving the low component indexes: “fair competition”, “legal institutions and security & order”, “unofficial costs”, and “access to land”. In addition, the city will work to complete the start-up ecosystem, promote innovation and develop private businesses./.
