Ha Noi clarifies tasks to Chairman and 6 Vice Chairmen

The Decision states:

Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh comprehensively leads and manages all activities under the functions, tasks and powers of the Municipal People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The Chairman directly directs and administers the following areas: Socio-economic development strategy, essential issues of national defence and security, and domestic and foreign affairs, to name but a few.

Standing Vice Chairman Le Hong Son oversees the following fields: National defence, security, administrative reform, and emulation - commendation; coordinates with the Chairman to direct the Capital Command and the City Police; monitors and directs the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Justice, Department of Science and Technology, City Inspector, City Citizen Reception Board as well as such districts as Ba Dinh, Ha Dong, Bac Tu Liem, Quoc Oai, Dan Phuong.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Trong Dong monitors and directs land, resources, environment, site clearance work; monitors and directs the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the City Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Agricultural and Technical Infrastructure as well as districts of Cau Giay, Soc Son, Thach That, Me Linh, Dong Anh.

Vice Chairman Duong Duc Tuan directs the district's general, subdivision, and construction planning; monitors and directs the Department of Construction, Department of Transport, Department of Planning and Architecture, and Ha Noi Institute of Construction Planning, to name but a few.

Vice Chairman Ha Minh Hai directs the planning strategy and socio-economic development plan; monitors and directs the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Finance, Department of Information and Communication, Ha Noi Institute of Socio-Economic Development Research as well as districts and towns: Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, and Son Tay.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen is in charge of foreign affairs; monitors and directs the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, City Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and districts of Tay Ho, Hoang Mai, Ung Hoa, My Duc, Thanh Oai.

Vice Chairwoman Vu Thu Ha oversees culture and sports; labor, vocational training, employment and social issues; health, population, family and children; education; food safety.

She will also monitors and directs the Department of Health, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture and Sports, Thang Long – Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center, Social Insurance as well as districts and towns of Long Bien, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Chuong My, and Phu Xuyen.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing./.
