Ha Noi aims to attract more foreign tourists
VGP - The Ha Noi Tourism Department is accelerating promotional activities to lure more foreign visitors in the rest of 2022.

As of the end of July, the city fulfilled its preset goal on domestic guest reception. However, a marginal number of foreign ones was recorded.
In response, a strong wave of communications works will be launched on tourism images, destinations, and new products aired on domestic TV and radio channels, websites, social network platforms and the US-based news channel CNN International, whose past cooperation with the city was considered a breakthrough.
Films, video clips, and postcards on a safe and enticing Hanoi will also be published for distribution at the local Noi Bai airport, hotels and travel agencies.
In the first seven months of 2022, Ha Noi welcomed an estimated 10.62 million, an annual increase of 3.6 times and earned VND 31.9 trillion (US$ 1.36 billion) of revenue, up 3.9 times year-on-year.

Ha Noi eyes to welcome over 30 million visitors, including 7 million foreigners, by 2025, according to the municipal Party Committee' draft conclusion on tourism development for 2016-2020 and following years.
It greeted 126,200 foreign visitors, particularly during SEA Games 31 held this May. As a result, the city earned an estimated VND 18.9 trillion (US$815.36 million) from tourism, doubling the previous year's figure.
Da Nang, Ha Noi, and Ho Chi Minh City were listed among the best cities in Southeast Asia in Asia's Best Awards 2022, recently unveiled by the Travel & Leisure magazine./.
