Germany, Ha Noi intensify comprehensive relations
VGP - Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung in Ha Noi on March 25 received a delegation of economic officials and parliamentarians of Germany.
At the reception, German Deputy Ambassador Wolfgang Maig said German business community is very attentive to the investment and trade environment in Ha Noi.
Meanwhile, member of the German parliament Mark Hauptmann said the German side is eager to cooperate with Ha Noi, particularly in the fields of health care and provision of waste water treating equipment.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said authorities always attach importance to the cooperation with German enterprises in various fields like pollution treatment, clean water supply and infrastructure development.
He briefed his guests on the socio-economic development of the capital. He also pointed to challenges facing the city such as water pollution, air quality, traffic congestion and poor urban rail structure which need cooperation from other countries to address.
In the coming time, Ha Noi authorities are ready to facilitate the operation of German companies and hope to continue coordinating with the German embassy in holding German cultural exchange programs in the city so as to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation in various fields, he added./.
