Flag ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
VGP - The flag hoisting ceremony is performed daily at 6 am in the Ba Dinh Square, in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
Whether it is sunny or rainy, at 6 am in summer and 6:30 in winter, soldiers of the Command for Protection of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum perform the flag hoisting and flag salute rituals at the Ba Dinh Square.
No mater what they are doing, they also gather around the flag tower, all activities are stopped.
To capital residents, standing solemnly in front of rest place of Uncle Ho, watching the national flag being pulled up in music of national Anthem become a familiar activity.
After the ceremony, the guards paraded in front of the mausoleum and ended the ceremonies.
At 9pm every day, the flag lowering ceremony with similar rituals is held.
