Exhibition on nostalgia for Ha Noi held

VGP - An exhibition on nostalgia for Ha Noi’s streets is taking place in Ha Noi as part of activities celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations between France and Viet Nam.

The event was organised by the National Archives of Vietnam (NAV) in collaboration with the French Embassy in Ha Noi.

The exhibition creates a vivid and lively space with chains of trams which were considered the symbol and soul of ancient Ha Noi.
Around 130 copies of documents, photos, maps and technical drawings on the history, culture, the land and people of Ha Noi from the early 19th century to mid-20th century.
Highlights of the exhibition include images of Ha Noi Old Quarter, the Temple of Literature, West Lake and its surrounding historical sites, Sword Lake and The Huc Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple, and Turtle Tower.

The exhibition serves as a link between the past and future helping people especially the young understand and treasure cultural values of the capital city.

Many lovers of Ha Noi’s trams from past times have visited the exhibition, which recalls past memories for them.
The event will run through December 31.
