Viet Nam Airlines to resume Ha Noi-Moscow air route from May
VGP - National flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines will resume direct flights between Ha Noi and Moscow from May 8 after a three-year suspension.

In the initial period, the carrier will operate two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From July 2026, the frequency will increase to three flights per week.
Russia has always been one of Viet Nam's key markets for tourism and trade. In 2024, the total number of travelers between the two countries reached over 220,000, a 2.3-fold increase compared to 2023 but only accounted for 26 percent of the 2019 level.
The direct Ha Noi-Moscow air route helps strengthen connectivity and facilitate the strong recovery of the aviation and tourism industries in both countries.
The resumption of direct flight not only provides passengers with more convenient and safe travel options with high-quality services but also promotes bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange, representative of Viet Nam Airlines said.
This year, Viet Nam Airlines also plans to launch or resume 15 international routes to key destinations, including Italy, Russia, Denmark, China, India, Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)./.
