Tourism activities were vibrant across the capital from April 30 to May 4, reaffirming Ha Noi's reputation as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.

Specifically, the capital welcomed an estimated 875,200 visitors, up 18.64 percent year-on-year. Among these, 136,190 were international arrivals, marking a significant 55.35 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 3.15 trillion (US$121.1 million), a 25.21 percent rise.

These figures not only reflect a rising demand for tourism following the city's recovery efforts, but also highlight the effectiveness of comprehensive investments in infrastructure, tourism products, services, and promotional activities by the Ha Noi tourism sector in recent times.

High-end apartment complexes and 4- to 5-star hotels reported high occupancy rates, such as: Somerset Grand Ha Noi – 99 percent; Sofitel Legend Metropole – 88.3 percent; Fraser Suites – 88 percent; Apricot Hotel Ha Noi – 84 percent.

The average occupancy rate for hotels and serviced apartments reached approximately 69.67 percent, an increase of 9.27 percentage points compared to the same period in 2024.

During the holiday period, the Department of Tourism implemented a comprehensive plan and conducted inspections at several popular tourist attractions in the city, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, and Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Building on this success, Ha Noi's tourism sector will continue to closely coordinate with other departments, sectors, and localities to effectively organize a series of tourism events throughout the year.

The city also aims to boost the development of distinct tourism products tied to Ha Noi's cultural identity, including its diverse culinary offerings and eco-friendly, sustainable tourism. Furthermore, efforts will be made to enhance the application of technology in tourism management and promotion, and to strengthen regional and business cooperation to expand the international tourist market./.
