The mayor made the affirmation on March 5 at a meeting with the Belarusian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Uladzimir Baravikou.

"I am deeply touched by the warm hospitality of Ha Noi, a city that is constantly evolving and vibrant," said Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou.

During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus to Viet Nam, the two cities signed an agreement on bilateral friendship relations for 2024-2026. This serves as a solid foundation for advancing cooperation between the two capitals in the coming years, noted the Ambassador.

Currently, the Executive Committee of Minsk City has initiated the implementation of this agreement in 2024. In the near future, proposals outlining Minsk's event plans will be sent to Ha Noi, said Baravikou.

The initiatives highlighted include organizing Minsk Cultural Day in Ha Noi and Ha Noi Cultural Day in Minsk. Additionally, the ambassador proposed the creation of symbolic structures and locations in each capital to strengthen the friendly ties. He emphasized interest in strengthening cooperation in various fields, such as sports, healthcare, and trade between Viet Nam and Belarus.

Congratulating the ambassador for the impactful tenure in Viet Nam, especially during the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus, which achieved significant milestones and left a positive impression on the people of both nations about their profound friendship, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that Viet Nam and Belarus are reliable and effective partners.

Thanh said Ha Noi is actively translating the cooperation agreement with Minsk into concrete actions. This includes developing an annual plan for activities under the signed framework, with a focus on specific areas such as cultural exchanges and joint development.

He agreed with the ambassador's proposals, stressing that they align with Ha Noi's ongoing cooperation policy. He instructed the city's departments and agencies to immediately initiate the exchange delegation from Ha Noi to Minsk, with a view to organizing the Ha Noi Cultural Day in Minsk.

"Efforts will be made to explore other proposals for cultural exchanges, people-to-people interactions, and the promotion of trade," Thanh said.

The head of the Ha Noi People's Committee also assured that all necessary conditions would be provided to support the activities of the Belarusian Embassy in the capital./.
