Ha Noi takes lead in public investment disbursement nationwide
VGP - As of August 31, 2026, Ha Noi’s public investment disbursement continued to show very positive progress, ranking first nationwide and exceeding the assigned targets.
The capital city was allocated with VND 171.001 trillion (US$6.57 billion) in public investment capital for the year.
As of September 7, 2026, cumulative disbursement had increased to VND 93.321 trillion (US$3.59 billion), equivalent to 77.77 percent of the whole-year plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 56.54 percent of the plan assigned by the city.
By budget level, disbursement of city-level budget was VND 76.447 trillion (US$2.94 billion), representing 60.99 percent of the plan while commune-level budget disbursed VND 16.145 trillion (US$620.96 million), representing 40.40 percent of the plan.
According to the Department of Finance's report, the 126 communes and wards achieved an average disbursement rate of 59.07 percent, with cumulative disbursement totaling VND 61.284 trillion (US$2.357 billion), accounting for 67.67 percent of the city's total disbursement.
The city-level departments, agencies, and project management boards achieved an average disbursement rate of 57.68 percent. A total of 18 out of 19 departments and agencies that had been allocated capital had begun disbursement, with total disbursement reaching VND 29.276 trillion (US$1.126 billion), accounting for 32.33 percent of the city's total./.
