Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Bui Duy Cuong said that the capital city has completed 99.7 percent of the work involved in building its land database, covering a total of 4.8 million land plots.

The proportion of data already synchronized with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has reached 60 percent.

The city aims to complete the entire database covering all 4.8 million land plots by mid-December 2026, laying the groundwork for more effective management, regular information updates and data connectivity and sharing across sectors and localities.

Strengthening traceability to ensure agricultural product safety

Alongside land management, Ha Noi is focusing on digital technology applications in quality management and traceability of agricultural products and food.

With a market serving approximately 10 million people and more than 1,700 processing establishments, the city considers the comprehensive monitoring of product information, from production to consumption, a key measure to improve agricultural product quality and protect consumer rights.

Since 2018, Ha Noi has operated an agricultural product and food traceability system at www.check.hanoi.gov.vn. To date, the system has provided training for more than 3,336 establishments and managed over 13,207 product traceability codes.

The city has also established and monitored 1,388 safe agricultural product and food supply chains, while developing more than 3,400 One Commune One Product (OCOP) products.

Programs to label safe agricultural products and food, together with the capital's OCOP system, have also been implemented, helping enhance information transparency, promote local products and improve their access to markets.

As part of its digital transformation efforts, Ha Noi is continuing to expand data connectivity with agricultural management agencies and has registered four priority product groups for traceability: chicken, vegetables, tea leaves and tea products. These efforts are expected to gradually complete the information system serving product management, monitoring and traceability.

Notably, since August 3, 2026, the database system on nutrition and street food safety has officially become operational, allowing organizations and individuals to register accounts and submit applications online. Its launch is helping accelerate the digitalization of management procedures and facilitate the handling of related administrative formalities.

In the coming period, Ha Noi will continue to speed up the completion of its digital infrastructure, standardize product information and strengthen connectivity with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment's database systems, with a view to providing a foundation for improving the effectiveness of State management, enhancing data sharing and supporting production and business activities in agriculture and environment sectors.

Alongside the development of digital infrastructure, the city plans to step up the application of science, technology and innovation in agricultural production, management and consumption, while enhancing digital capabilities among stakeholders throughout the value chain, from production and preliminary processing to distribution, consumers and State management agencies.

Through the development of databases, expanded connectivity and application of technology across production stages, Ha Noi aims to build a modern agricultural sector, improve the quality and value of agricultural products, and enhance natural resource management and environmental protection, thereby contributing to sustainable growth in the capital's agriculture and environment sectors./.
