The Ha Noi local authorities presented VND5 million (US$190) for each of 690 families living in near poverty line

The total amount disbursed to households reached VND3.5 billion (US$132,480), using the Fund for the Poor at the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Noi.

So far, Ha Noi no longer has poor households. The number of families living near poverty line accounts for only 0.04 percent of the city's total.

The city has also completed the construction and renovation of houses for poor households and families facing difficult circumstances.

A poor family is defined as having a monthly per capita income below VND2 million (US$76) in urban areas and below VND1.5 million (US$57) in rural areas for the 2021–2025 period.

These households also lack access to three or more of 12 basic social service indicators such as healthcare, education, housing, clean water, sanitation, and access to information.

A family classified as near poor also has the same income threshold as a poor one. However, these households lack access to three or less of the 12 basic social service indicators./.
