The ambassador shared his delight at the strong development of Viet Nam-China relations and local-to-local exchanges in recent years.
The diplomat expressed his hope that leaders of Ha Noi authorities would continue to facilitate and promote cooperation with Chinese localities. In particular, Guangxi, which has strengths in science and technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and digital connectivity, has begun initial cooperation with Ha Noi.
Given their existing advantages, cooperation between Ha Noi and Guangxi could serve as a model for expanding local-level cooperation between the two countries, added the ambassador.
There remains significant potential for cooperation between Ha Noi and Chinese localities, said He, calling on the city's leaders to provide more support while exploring additional areas of cooperation that align with the development priorities of both sides as well as enabling Chinese businesses to contribute and accompany Ha Noi in achieving its development goals as well as those of Viet Nam.
Vu, for his part, expressed thanks to the ambassador for his continued efforts to promote friendship and for serving as an active and effective bridge between Ha Noi and Chinese central and local authorities.
Regarding the ambassador's proposals, Vu vowed to facilitate and strengthen ties between Ha Noi and Guangxi as well as other Chinese localities, particularly as science, technology and innovation have been identified as top development priorities for the capital.
Vu expected that the ambassador would continue to promote substantive cooperation programs, particularly in areas where Ha Noi has strong demand and China has strengths, such as urban development, exchanges of experience in improving the urban environment, and urban infrastructure development.
The city also encourages Chinese enterprises to invest in such areas as manufacturing, supporting industries and smart urban infrastructure, in association with technology transfer and human resources training.
Agreeing with the proposals put forward by Ha Noi's leaders and building on the existing foundation of cooperation, ambassador He affirmed that he would continue efforts and play a bridging role in promoting friendship, cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between Ha Noi and Chinese ministries, agencies and localities, with a view to strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Viet Nam and China./.
