VGP - Ha Noi is experiencing a tourism growth in 2025, with a remarkable 7.3 million visitors in the first quarter of this year, an 8.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Ha Noi's tourism sector is thriving. In January-March period, the city's tourism revenue reached VND29.93 trillion (about US$1.25 billion), marking an 11.3 percent increase year-on-year.

During the first quarter, Ha Noi was promoted as a cultural hub with a series of events, including the "Connecting Tourist Destinations along the Red River" conference and the promotion of the Quang Phu Cau Craft Village.

To attract more visitors, the Ha Noi Tourism Department has been conducting a series of programs to promote the city as a top tourist destination.

Additionally, the agency continues developing new initiatives, including experiential tourism offerings at heritage sites such Ha Mo in Dan Phuong District, a new tourism route called "Nam Thang Long - Ha Noi Heritage Road", and community-based tourism experiences in An Phu Commune, My Duc District. At the same time, the city will host major events such as the Ha Noi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 and the Ha Noi Tourism Festival 2025.

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, announced that in March, the capital will unveil plans for launching new tourism products and experiences.

Under this initiative, Ha Noi will introduce two cultural tourism routes connecting the southern and western areas of the city. A new community-based tourism destination will be established in My Duc district, alongside the development of agricultural and rural tourism models, as well as night tourism offerings.

Further expansion is set to focus on developing fresh products in high-potential areas, including adventure tourism, experiential travel, Red River tourism, helicopter tours, hot air balloon rides, and virtual reality tourism experiences.

Le Thanh Thao, Chairwoman of the Ha Noi association of travel agents, affirmed efforts to strengthen ties with key tourism markets such as China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Europe, and the U.S.

She highlighted the importance of developing Ha Noi's signature tourism offerings, including cultural tourism, sustainable tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), to create a unique identity and attract international visitors./.
