In a directive issued on November 1, Ha Noi People's Committee Chairman Tran Sy Thanh said the decision to cancel fireworks displays reflected the city's spirit of solidarity and compassion for residents in Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai—localities severely affected by recent floods.

Chairman Tran emphasized that the Autumn Fair 2025 was not merely a trade promotion event, but also a symbol of social responsibility.

"The fair demonstrates that economic growth must go hand in hand with human and community development. Participating enterprises are encouraged to pursue business opportunities while building a responsible and compassionate corporate image," he said.

At the closing ceremony on the evening of November 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on businesses and citizens nationwide to continue supporting flood-hit communities, helping them recover livelihoods and resume production promptly.

Commending the dedication, responsibility, and creativity of local authorities, businesses, and the public in making the fair a success, the Prime Minister also extended gratitude to generous donors who contributed to the "Autumn of Hope" program.

He underlined that the spirit of "business development coupled with social responsibility" embodies Viet Nam's long-standing tradition of solidarity and mutual support—forming a vital foundation for sustainable national development.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated 30 outstanding exhibitors selected from nearly 2,500 domestic and international participants for excellence in design, trade promotion, branding, and professionalism in exhibition organization and networking throughout the ten-day event.

He noted that the Autumn Fair vividly showcased Viet Nam's dynamism, innovation, and international integration in the new era, urging continued efforts to connect production with consumption, strengthen supply chains, and expand export markets.

The "Autumn of Hope – Sharing Love" initiative, launched during the fair's opening, raised more than US$12 million through contributions from visitors, businesses, and the public. In addition, the cancellation of the planned fireworks displays contributed an additional US$1.2 million to the relief fund.

Donation boxes were placed at all entrances of the fair to facilitate contributions in cash, via bank transfer, or in kind. Donations were also accepted through the VietinBank account of the Central Relief Committee under the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (Account No. 26102025).

Record-breaking participation and economic impact

The Autumn Fair 2025 featured exhibitions from 34 provinces and cities across a total area of more than 130,000 square meters. With the participation of 2,500 domestic and international enterprises and organizations, it became the largest trade event ever held in Viet Nam.

The fair attracted an average of 100,000 visitors per day—the highest attendance on record among domestic trade promotion events—highlighting the strong appeal of Vietnamese products and growing consumer confidence in locally made goods.

On-site sales were estimated at nearly VND 1 trillion (US$38.4 million), while trade deals and memoranda of understanding reached approximately VND 5 trillion (US$190 million).

According to the organizers, the success of the Autumn Fair 2025 paves the way for the establishment of a four-season trade fair series—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—designed to stimulate domestic consumption, promote cultural industries, and enhance Viet Nam's international profile./.
