The Ha Noi’s Traffic Control Centre – where thousands of AI-powered cameras across the city are operated.

The traffic control center, which has been operational since December 13, 2025, has delivered tangible improvements in law enforcement, traffic regulation, digital transformation and public service delivery.

The majority of violations involved running red lights, failing to wear helmets and not using seat belts. Authorities confirmed that all cases were fully reviewed, documented and processed, achieving a 100 per cent handling rate.

Since January 1, police have piloted a fully digital administrative process via the iHanoi app. More than 7,800 cases have been integrated into the system, allowing residents to complete procedures entirely online.

During the same period, the center optimized traffic flows at 188 intersections and established 22 "green wave" corridors along major routes such as Pho Hue–Hang Bai, Ba Trieu, Tran Hung Dao and Phan Dinh Phung.

In addition, 446 traffic signal timing adjustments were made and 575 technical issues were addressed to maintain stable system operations.

As a result, vehicle flow at intersections improved by between 4 per cent and over 18 per cent. Key junctions, including Vo Chi Cong and the Giai Phong–Truong Chinh intersection, saw steady increases of 6 to 11 per cent, highlighting the effectiveness of AI-driven traffic management.

By integrating digital maps covering 266 traffic control points and 108 flood-prone locations, the system has enabled more proactive and responsive traffic operations./.
