Elevated section of ring road No.2 officially put into operation

VGP - The elevated section of ring road No.2 connecting Nga Tu So and Vinh Tuy Bridge, along with the widened ground stretch from Vinh Tuy to Nga Tu Vong opened to traffic on January 11 after more than four years of construction.

Vehicles are allowed to operate in the elevated section of ring road No.2 from January 11, 2023

The Ring road No.2 section Vinh Tuy – Nga Tu So, including both the elevated and the ground stretches, costs over VND 10 trillion (US$400 million). 

With a length of 43.6km, the Ring road No.2 forms a traffick ring in Ha Noi running through Vinh Tuy  – Minh Khai – Dai La – Nga Tu Vong – Truong Chinh – Nga Tu So – Lang – Cau Giay – Buoi – Nhat Tan – Vinh Ngoc – Dong Hoi – Gia Lam tunnel – Hanel industrial park – Vinh Tuy.

The widened ground stretches from Vinh Tuy to Nga Tu Vong with eight to 10 lanes, while the elevated section connecting Nga Tu So to Vinh Tuy Bridge has four lanes and forms a traffic ring above Ha Noi’s streets running through the districts of Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, and Hoang Mai.

Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee said that the launch of the elevated section contributes to reducing traffic congestion that has lasted for many years.
