CDC asks returnees from disease-hit areas to have health monitored at home

VGP – The Ha Noi Center of Disease Control (CDC) has recommended that returnees from disease-hit areas make health declaration and have their health monitored at places of residence within seven days from arrival.

The CDC reported that as of 6:00 of October 19, the city confirmed 1,872 returnees from southern localities in which 22 travellers were positive for SARS-CoV including 15 people from HCMC, four others from Dong Nai, two from Binh Duong, and one from Tay Ninh.

The positive cases were detected at nine districts namely Ha Dong (four), Thanh Xuan (three), Chuong My (three), Me Linh (two), Dong Da (two), Hoang Mai (two), Hoan Kiem (two), Phuc Tho (one), and Phu Xuyen (one). Regarding means of transport, 15 passengers travelled by cars, six by planes, and one by motorbike.  

Travellers who display any signs of infections including cough, fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, are requested to inform medical facilities. 

Earlier, the Ha Noi People’s Committee on October 11 issued Document No.3487/UBND-DT on the pilot resumption of regular domestic flights to and from the capital city. Accordingly, passengers who meet all criteria by the ministries of transport and health will be put under quarantine at home and follow COVID-19 prevention and control measures in line with the State and city’s regulations.

As of April 29, Ha Noi detected 4,111 cases of SARS-CoV-2 including 1,606 local infections and 2,505 others in quarantine camps or lockdown areas./.
