The city has set up 72 concentrated quarantine facilities with the capacity of more than 30,000 beds which play an important role in stamping out the pandemic.

Over the past time, the facilities have been operated effectively, doing a good job in protecting people's health and repelling the previous three waves of Covid-19 outbreaks.

Since the fourth outbreak occurred on April 27, 12 concentrated quarantine facilities have received more than 5,000 citizens and over 1,500 people have finished their isolation period and returned home safely.

"Centralized isolation is still the most important measure to contain the pandemic in the current serious evolution," said the Ha Noi Party chief.

As of June 2, the capital had detected 416 locally-transmitted cases since the fourth coronavirus wave hit Viet Nam, according to the Ministry of Health./.
