The palace will be constructed with modern, eco-friendly architecture that uses many smart automation devices, featuring a variety of categories, including an 800-seat theater, a 200-seat cinema, a 500-seat gymnasium, a 10-lane swimming pool, a learning space and library, and an astronomical tower.

The project will cover an area of nearly 40,000 square meters (the construction area  of more than 10,000 square meters) and with a total investment of VND1.376 trillion (US$59.75 million).

According to Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung, the new palace, due for completion in 2024, aims to meet the demand for playing sports, physical training, and cultural exchanges among kids across the city, as well as creating a favorable environment for the development of the city’s future talents.

According to the project’s management board, the current Ha Noi Children’s Palace, built in 1973, is located on Ly Thai To Street (Hoan Kiem district), covering an area of 8,100 square meters. After nearly 40 years in use, a lot of equipment and facilities at the palace have been degraded, triggering an urgent need to construct a new one.
