VGP – Viet Nam National University (VNU) – Ha Noi has been listed in the 801-1000 group in the annual global ranking compiled by the Times Higher Education, a British provider of higher education data.
VNU – Ha Noi enjoyed improvements across all four areas of the rankings, lifting its overall score to 26.24 from last year’s 24.86. Its Research score rose 8.8% while that of Citations increased 8%.
Two other Vietnamese universities, Viet Nam National University-Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi University of Science and Technology were placed in the 1001+ group.
This year the rankings measured 1,527 universities around the world based on indicators that consider an institution’s performance across Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
The THE World University Rankings 2021 include more than 1,520 universities across 93 countries and territories and are the largest and most diverse university rankings available.
According to the rankings, the world’s top 5 include the University of Oxford in the UK and four universities in the U.S. namely, Stanford, Harvard, the California Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
