"Vietnamese give priority to use Vietnamese goods" campaign
VGP - The Steering Committee of "Vietnamese give priority to use Vietnamese goods" campaign on July 17 organized a conference to sum up five years of implementing this campaign.

After 5 years of implementation, the campaign has achieved positive results. Many Vietnamese brands have occupied larger market share in commercial centers, supermarkets, shops andrural and remote areas, while consumers also have supported and used more and more Vietnamese goods.
Statistic shows that, 47% of domestic consumers trust the quality of Vietnamese goods (in 2013), higher than the 2011 (28.8%); about 47.6% of domestic consumers favor Vietnamese goods (in 2013), higher than the 2011 (16.5%).
So far, local products accounting for 90% of products displayed in Big C supermarket, 95% in Saigon Coop Mart, 100% in Vinatex Mart, 90% in outlets selling price stabilized goods, 80% in rural and remote areas (90 percent of products catering for studying needs are Vietnamese goods).
In the past 5 years, several measures have been taken to bring the best performance for the campaign. Particularly, due attention has been paid to combating smuggling, fake goods, intellectual property violations and illegal business behavior. This has made a fundamental change in the management of goods circulated on the market, protecting consumers and Vietnamese businesses.
Ha Noi People’s Committee advance VND1,550 billion from the state budget with 0% interest for 57 enterprises to supporting the sustainable distribution system of price-stabilized goods in the area from 2010 to 2013.
