Two Ha Noi universities among Asia's 500 best: Times Higher Education

The list includes the Viet Nam National University, ranked 251-300,  and the Ha Noi University of Science and Technology (HUST) placed between 351-400th.

In addition, the list also has the Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) in the 401 group.

This year's rankings include 551 schools in 30 countries and territories, an increase of 50 from last year.

The rankings are based on five categories covering the core missions of all world-class, global universities, including Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income, and reputation), Citations (research influence), Industry Income (knowledge transfer) and International Outlook (staff, students, research).

Chinese universities, Tsinghua and Peking hold on to first and second place, respectively. 

The next positions go to National University of Singapore , University of Hong Kong, and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore./.
