Traffic accidents drop 9.7% in Jan-Sep period
VGP – In the first nine months of 2017, traffic accidents in Ha No i constantly declined in cases, number of deaths and injuries, reported the Ha Noi Transport Safety Committee.

Specifically, from December 16, 2016 to September 15, 2017, there were 1,045 traffic accidents; 414 deaths and 828 injuries in Ha Noi.
The number dropped by 113 in cases (down 9.7%); 12 in deaths (down 2.81%); and 106 in injuries (down 11.3%).
Traffic accidents chiefly occurred on road with 23 cases in highways; 426 cases in central city; 274 cases in national roads.
There was 20 railway accidents leading to 17 deaths and two injuries.
In the January-September period, transport order and safety showed signs of recovery. The city basically handled eight out of 41 traffic congestion sites in 2017 and 32 out of 46 black points in traffic accidents.
The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee directed relevant agencies to tighten investigation and settle infringements in transport order and safety./.
