VGP – Viet Nam participated in IFTM Top Resa to advertise tourism potentials of Viet Nam in general and Ha Noi in particular to international friends from September 26-29.
The Center on Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion reported that this year, the Vietnamese booth was hosted by Ha Noi in combination with the General Department of Tourism, travel agencies, and resorts. The 40 square-meter booth followed the theme “Ha Noi – The friendly and charming destination,” displaying Vietnamese typical beauties especially Thang Long Imperial Citadel. It also introduced Vietnamese diverse tourism products and services and traditional art performance.
IFTM Top Resa drew the attendance of 1000 tourism brand names worldwide. The Vietnamese tourism participants had chances to exchange and seek foreign partners.
Especially, the center hosted a workshop on Vietnamese tourism promotion on September 26. Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said that by 2020, Viet Nam would convert tourism into a spearhead economic sector which is able to compete with regional peers and welcome 13 million foreign guests. In the first nine months of 2017, Viet Nam attracted over 9 million foreign guests. The diplomat added that the Capital City of Ha Noi is the first leg in the Vietnamese discovering route. So far, Viet Nam has founded close relations with Il de France and Toulouse city in preserving and upholding cultural heritages./.
