The exhibition displaying placards against the French colonialists opens

VGP - The exhibition themed “The placards during the resistance war against the French colonialists from 1946-1954” opened at Viet Nam National Museum of History in Ha Noi. It is part of activities to celebrate the victory of Dien Bien Phu.

Attending the ceremony were representatives from relevant competent organizations: Mr. Le Nhu Tien – Vice Head of National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education of Youth and Children; Prof.Dr.Sc. Luu Tran Tieu – Chairman of National Heritage Council, Dr. Do Van Tru – General Secretary of Cultural Heritage Association of Viet Nam; Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s representatives, colleagues and broadcast providers.

The exhibition displays over 100 artifacts including placards, sketches and notes used during from 1946 to 1954.

The exhibition focus on five subjects: encouraging the campaign, fighting, relations between the army and the people, good examples, and celebrating anniversaries.

The exhibition aims to introduce to the public the publicity campaigns that contributed to the country’s triumph in the resistance war, the peak of which came with the Dien Bien Phu victory in May 7, 1954.

Through the objects and materials in the exhibition hall, visitors can understand more about the resistance war against French colonists that Viet Nam took in difficulties but with many heroic people and victories.

The exhibition will open till the end of July.
