It will work to help the community understand the need to preserve world and national heritages, introduce the historical and cultural values of the relic to the world as well as establish an harmonious space for community culture.
The plan will become a model in terms of historical relic conservation not only in Việt Nam but also in the world, said UNESCO Regional Advisor for Culture in Asia and the Pacific Richard Engelhard.
UNESCO Representative Katherin Muller Marin in Việt Nam also revealed that the master plan will create a foundation for specific plans to preserve the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long.
She also highly valued the municipal People’s Committee’s attentions to the conservation of this World Heritage Site and committed that UNESCO will work with the Thăng Long-Hà Nội Heritage Conservation Centre on how to best preserve and promote the values of the heritage.
