Ten outstanding cultural and sports events in 2019 announced

VGP – The Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports has recently announced Ten outstanding cultural and sports events in 2019.

a Noi officially joined the UNESCO's Network of Creative Cities with a view to converting cultural resources into a foundation for urban development.

The Department officially announced the events after collecting comments of nearly 60 central and local reporters and journalists. 

1. Ha Noi officially joined the UNESCO's Network of Creative Cities with a view to converting cultural resources into a foundation for urban development.

2. A series of cultural and sports events marking the 20th anniversary of the granting of the “City for Peace” title by the UNESCO

3. Ha Noi led the country in the number of artists in tangible cultural heritages and State conferred arts sector in 2019

4. A series of cultural, artistic, and sport events in the local city

5. The first-ever folk festival honoring Ha Noi’s traditional and contemporary culture and cultural heritages

6. International art photograph contest themed ‘Tu hao Ha Noi’ (Proud of Ha Noi)

7. Imprints of Ha Noi’s sports in SEA Games 30 in the Philippines;

8. Ha Noi’s midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai was named in the 24-man shortlist for the Best Footballer in Asia 2019;

9. Bui Yen Ly took a gold medal in the women’s 51kg category at the 2019 IFMA World Muay Thai Championships in Thailand;

10. Ha Noi International Heritage Marathon.
