VGP - About 1,200 people on October 5 in Ha Noi took part in the final round of the 41st annual Open Hanoimoi Run Tournament in celebration of the 60th anniversary of liberation on October 10.

Vice Chairwoman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said the run is one of several major activities celebrating the 69th anniversary of National Day, the 60th anniversary of Ha Noi Liberation Day on October 10 and the 15th anniversary of Ha Noi’s recognition as a UNESCO City for Peace.
Participants in various categories run from 1,750m (one lap around the lake) to 8,750m (five laps).
Launched from June 28, so far, the event has drawn attention of 300,465 people and 187 units, a significant progress compared to the previous ones.
Last year's event attracted about 1,200 domestic and foreign competitors. It is one of many events aimed at promoting sports among local people.
